There are many exciting and rewarding aspects to being a homeowner, but maintenance is not one of them. Home Service Plans help alleviate the stress associated with unexpected repairs and give consumers peace of mind by providing maintenance and/or replacement coverage of appliances, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, and electrical components.

Since 1970, Total Appliance has been the leading local home warranty company serving the Miami-Dade and Broward county areas. Outlined below are Total’s Home Service Plan FAQS to help you understand what’s included in our contracts and why we’re the leader in South Florida.

Is Total Appliance licensed and insured?

All of our technicians, electricians, and plumbers are licensed and bonded in the state of Florida. Our technicians are factory-trained to repair all makes and models of air conditioners and appliances.

What’s included in a Total Warranty Service Agreement?

Our contracts provide all parts and labor necessary to keep the air conditioning, appliances, electrical, and plumbing equipment or fixtures in good working order. There are no additional charges, deductibles, or co-pays with a Total service plan.

Are there really no deductibles or co-payments?

No, there are no extra costs beyond what you pay for your service contract.

What appliances will Total repair?

Our technicians will repair and/or replace all makes and models of central AC and heating systems, and a wide range of appliances including refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, ranges, garbage disposals, microwave ovens, washers, dryers, and water heaters. Depending on the selected plan, Total can also fix plumbing and electrical issues. Our warranty contracts are customizable to suit your home and needs.

What is replacement coverage?

With replacement coverage, if your AC and appliances cannot be repaired, we will replace them. Some exclusions may apply. Please note that within the first 60 days of the contract, Total does not have an obligation to replace any AC’s, appliances, or equipment even if you have replacement coverage.

What is extended coverage?

In addition to HVAC system and appliance coverage, additional coverage for electrical and plumbing repairs can be purchased. These repairs are beyond those as defined in the standard Total warranty service contract.

What are Total’s hours of service?

Total provides same-day or next-day service Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to our clients under contract in Miami-Dade, Broward, and parts of Palm Beach.
